Magpie
Magpies are birds related to the crows, and they inhabit all parts of Korea.

In Korea, a magpie at the gate or roof of a house is believed to be an omen for a long-awaited visitor. These folk birds can easily be found in Gimhae.

Mascot : Haedong

The mascot of Gimhae city is an innocent lad called 'Turtle Boy', a mythical figure who wore a turtle shell on his back at the glorious times of the Garak Kingdom.
