In Nae-dong, Gimhae, when you look at the mountain on the east, an interesting building is visible at the top of the mountain. The mountain looks like it is nesting an egg. This is Gimhae Observatory, the only public observatory in Yeongnam area. It was opened in February, 2002. As part of millenium memorial project, Gimhae Observatory was opened on Feb. 1, 2002.
