532(Three Kingdoms Period)	Annexed to Silla and became Geumgwan-gun
756(Unified Silla)	Became Gimhaesogyeong
971(Goryeo)	Changed to Gimhae-bu
1895(Joseon)	Became Gimhae-gun
Nov. 1, 1931	Gimhae-myeon became a eup, an upper jurisdiction level
Oct. 1, 1942	Jinyeong-myeon became a eup, an upper jurisdiction level
Feb. 15, 1978	Daejeo-eup, Myeongji-eup, Garak-myeon, and Nakdong area were incorporated into Busan City
July 1, 1981	Gimhae-eup became a city
Han. 1, 1989	Garak-myeon and Noksan-myeon were incorporated into Busan City
May 10, 1995	Gimhae-gun merged to Gimhae City
Sept. 12, 1998	Chilsan-dong and Seobu-dong were merged to form Chilsanseobu-dong
