In Sineosan Mountain, Eunhasa, one of the oldest temples in Korea, is located. From the pieces of earthenware found in the temple, the date of temple goes back to the Three Kingdoms Period. But the temple has been so meticulously kept that traces of time are hard to find and its neat appearance seems to purify the visitor's soul. According to a legend, Daeungjeon(Hall enshrining Buddha)(Provincial Tangible Cultural Asset No. 238) was built by Jangyuhwasang during the reign of King Suro. Its original name was Seorimsa Temple. During the Japanese Invasion in 1592, the temple was destroyed by fire. The current building is a Matbae style building with Dapo(multiple brackets) and decorated with dragon heads and phoenix heads. Judging from the styles of sculpture and structure, it is estimated to be a building of the late Joseon Period. From the two fish pattern on the Sumi Platform in Daeungjeon, a relationship with Ayutah Kingdom in India can be conjectured.
