This octagonal stupa contains the sarira of Jangyuhwasang(Heo Bo-ok), who was a brother-in-law of King Suro of Garak Kingdom. It is said that it was built during the reign of King Jilji, the 8th king of Garak Kingdom, when Jangyuam Temple was restored. Through the years, the temple and other buildings were destroyed and only the stupa remains. However, from the method used, it is estimated to have been constructed in the late Goryeo Period.
